THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AMARILLO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT THURSDAY.
* EVENT: TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED
TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING ACROSS THE WESTERN AND CENTRAL TEXAS
PANHANDLE. ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS AROUND 3 INCHES MAY BE POSSIBLE
ACROSS THE SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS PANHANDLE.
* TIMING: RAIN AND SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE WESTERN
TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES THIS EVENING...AND THEN MIX WITH AND
TURN OVER TO SNOW TONIGHT. THE SNOW WILL END BETWEEN 7 AM AND 1 PM CDT
THURSDAY FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE AREA.
* IMPACTS: SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AND TEMPERATURES NEAR OR JUST
BELOW FREEZING MAY CAUSE SLICK AND SLIPPERY ROADS TONIGHT INTO
THURSDAY MORNING.
